Episode 10 Catch up

This week’s task had definitely a more serious feel as the tension mounts between the last five candidates. The apprentices were thrown into the world of technology, where they were asked to learn, present and sell Microsoft’s video conferencing system. Even though this was a selling task, creativity was requested and a key part of the brief.

Geraldine moved over to join Platinum while Steve moved onto Cú Chulainn. Steve and Aoiffe took some time to warm to each other’s style. Steve concentrated on the sales aspect while Aoiffe tried to convince him that the needed to think of something more creative. Meanwhile Platinum were hiring actors and buying bottles of Prosecco to make sure that they could be as creative as possible.

Both presentations went well, however Bill felt that team Cú Chulainn lacked the wow factor. This left Aoiffe and Steve to fight for their place against each other. Aoiffe was visibly upset as she cried in the boardroom. It was pointed out, that she did want to be more creative however she did not push her ideas enough on Steve. In the end Bill felt, that although Aoiffe had made it to week ten, she still did not particularly shine in one area, whereas Steve showed that he is excellent in sales. It was time for Aoiffe to pick up her suitcase and head home.
