
Terms and Conditions
- The competition is open to Meteor ( "the Company"/"we"/"us") customers only.
- Meteor customers must be over 18 in order to apply for the Apprentice position. You warrant that you are aged 18 years or over and are legally entitled to work in Ireland. If required by us, you agree to provide us with documentary evidence to substantiate your age and entitlement to work in Ireland.
- The winning candidate will spend three months working within the Marketing department in the Company during June, July and August 2010.
- Applicants seeking to enter the competition must;
a) Submit a CV;
b) write a paragraph about yourself; and
c) write a paragraph on why you think you should become The Meteor Apprentice
- Candidates will only be contacted if they are successful in reaching the Interview stage. The Company shall select seven candidates for the purposes of the Competition. Further terms before candidates can be progressed may be required to be agreed/signed at this stage including but not limited to a non disclosure agreement.
- We are committed to respecting your privacy and are committed to complying with all applicable data protection and privacy laws. Our privacy policy can be viewed at http://www.meteor.ie/privacy_policy/. In the event that you are selected to be a candidate for the competition, you hereby grant all consents necessary for the Company to use information submitted by you and also all information/data/images/recordings pertaining to you to exploit same in all media in perpetuity without the need for payment to you.
- We reserve the right to publicise candidate's names and photographs as may be desired and we may require the winning candidate to perform certain advertising, marketing and promotional activities in furtherance of the Competition.
- By applying for the Meteor Apprentice position you hereby agree to complete six tasks over a six week period. Details of the tasks shall be determined by the Company and shall be communicated to the successful candidates at the appropriate time. Meteor reserves the right to publish your weekly tasks as they see fit. The candidates hereby irrevocably assign to the Company by way of assignment of present and future copyright the entire copyright and all other rights, title and interest of whatsoever nature, including but not limited to any intellectual property right in respect of the applicants application, the tasks to be performed by the candidates during the six week period and also during the winning candidates three month working with the Company. You hereby irrevocably and unconditionally waive in perpetuity all rights that you may have in and to all the products of your services in respect of the competition arising under the Copyright and Related Rights Act, 2000.
- If the successful candidate fails to complete a weekly task they will automatically be removed from the competition.
- Each of the seven successful candidates will be required to provide an image and a brief biography which will be uploaded on the Meteor Apprentice WAP site and the Apprentice unseen website.
- Each of the seven candidates weekly tasks will be voted on by Meteor customers, Meteor employees, facebook friends - the candidate with the least votes each week will be fired.
- All weekly tasks will appear on the Meteor Apprentice WAP site with a possibility of appearing on www.apprenticeunseen.ie .
- The winner will be announced on 15th December via the Meteor Apprentice site on WAP.
- These terms and conditions are distinct and severable, and if any term or provision is held unenforceable, illegal or void in whole or in part by any court, regulatory authority or other competent authority it shall to that extent be deemed not to form part of these terms and conditions, and the enforceability, legality and validity of the remainder of the terms and conditions will not be affected.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Ireland and the Company and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Ireland.
